Architect-urban planner Juan Jose Sanchez Aedo is known for designing gleaming commercial centers and shopping malls that serve as the contemporary version of the zocalo and the mercado publico. This richly illustrated monograph features 12 public spaces designed by Sánchez Aedo’s firm, Arquitech, in the most elegant districts and suburbs of Mexico City, showing how human interaction can happen in settings new and old.
