The legacy of Dutch artist Cesar Domela (1900-1992) is finally brought up to date in this exhibition catalog, the first retrospective in almost 20 years. Still revered by many younger artists, Domela’s work is a fresh approach to the pre-war avant-garde of Europe – he was the youngest member of the de Stijl group, a colleague of Brancusi, Leger, Mondrian and van Doesburg.
